Overview of the role:

We have an opportunity for an Electrical Testing Engineer based within our Risk & Compliance Team, with responsibility for carrying out electrical periodic inspection & testing across our existing facilities management contracts as well as a wider external client base.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Client satisfaction and the quality of service provided.
  • Responsibility for the undertaking and execution of all operations under their remit and reporting directly to the relevant Contract Manager
  • Identifying and implementing innovations to improve service delivery
  • Ensuring the company systems are implemented in a manner, which fully complies with all legal, qualitative, health, safety and environmental standards and other relevant guidance.
  • Ensuring, demonstrate, review and monitor compliance, to meet the expectation and needs of the Client, the quality and organisational goals of the company and satisfy the requirements of all relevant standards
  • Monitoring and professional oversight of works as directed by their line manager to ensure satisfactory quality levels.
  • Develop their competency through a commitment to continuing professional development.
  • To maintain a driving licence to remain mobile.

Qualifications and experience

Successful candidate should have a formal technical education in an electrical discipline to a minimum of City & Guilds level or equivalent, hold 18th Edition BS 7671:2018 (2382-18) and ideally Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations (2391-51) or equivalent qualifications.

Must have a minimum of 3 years relevant post apprenticeship experience in a building services maintenance or installation role and hold a valid CSCS card, should be able to undertake general electrical installation & repair works and be competent in fault finding.

A full UK driving licence is also essential.
